The chairman shows the vice-chairman of the advisory
committee a letter received from the London office, which
is in reply to the letter written by the committee in August
1944. It is observed that several points have meanwhile
taken on a different aspect. The letter is read to those
present, and it appears that all problems are having Lon-
dons closest attention, while some of them will most cer-
tainly be taken in hand as soon as circumstances permit.
Mr. Vromans draws attention to the dual task of the
advisory committee, viz. to take care of the interests of the
labourers as well as of the company. In this connection he
refers to the fact that many labourers frequently turn up
late at their jobs and quit too early. He invites the co-ope-
ration of the advisory committee to prevail upon their fellow-
workers to mend their ways in this respect.
Thereupon point 1 SAVINGS FUND comes up
for discussion.
It is suggested to increase the percentage of 2 % and if
